A new study from the University of Iowa has found that skipping breakfast can have a negative impact on cardiovascular health.
The research, which was published in the Journal of the American College of Cardiology, found that people who never ate breakfast had an 87 percent higher risk of death from cardiovascular disease compared to those who ate breakfast every day.
“Breakfast is generally believed to be the most important meal or one of the most important meals of the day,” Wei Bao, author of the study and assistant professor of epidemiology in the University of Iowa College of Public Health, told Healthline.
